COMMON QUESTIONS
WHAT IS PERMANENT JEWELRY?
Permanent jewelry simply means there is no clasp! Joelle or Alysa will custom fit your accessory to your desired length and with a quick zap, the ends are connected! Because there is no clasp, it is now "permanent" until you decide you want to remove it or it eventually comes off with time.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
All our 14k gold filled and sterling silver bracelets are currently $65, anklets are $75, and necklaces are $95. Our luxe 14k gold is $15-25 an inch.
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
Your accessory could last weeks, months, even years! It depends on the chain you choose and your lifestyle, job, daily routine, and other external factors. Bracelets tend to last longer than anklets and necklaces due to daily use and wear. If it does break, daintie will do our best to repair it. daintie is not liable for lost chains though, so make sure you don't lose it!
WHAT IF IT BREAKS?
If your accessory breaks or snags, you can bring it to us for repair. We choose delicate and dainty yet durable chains for aesthetics (of course!) and also to prevent injuries, so if it gets caught in something, your hand is okay and the bracelet is the casualty! Just make sure you save the chain.
CAN I STILL GO THROUGH SECURITY?
Yes! Metal detectors and TSA don't pick up on fine jewelry so your accessories can travel and see the world with you! But if you need to remove your accessory for a medical procedure, x-rays, emergency, or any other reason- scissors, pliers, or wire cutters work. Just save the chain and we can get you linked again!
DOES IT HURT?
Nope, you won't feel a thing! Once your accessory is fitted, we have a fancy machine that lasers it shut in a second, with the flash of a light!
DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
Some of our pop-ups will require one, but the majority will be walk-up. If they do require an appointment, we will let you know. Appointments are typically 15 minutes, and you are welcome to bring a guest!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Picking out your chains and the fitting is the longest part. The welding is as quick as a zap. Count on about 15 minutes.
WHAT METALS CAN I CHOOSE FROM?
The majority of our chains are 14k gold filled. Some are higher karats but nothing lower. We also have 14k gold and sterling silver. See our About section for more information on gold types.
